This delightful Andalucia villa was originally an old school house set in the beautiful Acedia valley surrounded by mountains and cork forest. La Villa Escuela has 5 bedrooms and attention has been paid to every last detail from it’s traditional, polished terracotta floor tiles, to its wooden beamed ceilings.
Secluded in it’s gorgeous 2 ½ acres of mature gardens and with it’s spectacular 15m x 6 m swimming pool and Arabic – style dining pagoda, this villa is a taste of paradise.
The property comprises a main house(with 2 bedrooms) and a cottage (with 3 bedrooms) separated from each other by a flower filled patio, which is home to a coy pond and a wisteria covered dining area.
In the main house there is the fully equipped French country style kitchen, which opens on to the dining area.Next door is the classically decorated living room with original paintings, open fire place, including satellite TV with SKY service.
The attractive master bedroom with gorgeous views out to the garden has an amazing bathroom beautifully decorated with emerald green Moroccan tiling, there’s a sunken bath and luxury shower.
Steps lead up to the second, single bedroom with it’s private terrace and beautiful views over the valley.
The cottage provides very comfortable sleeping accommodation with 3 more bedrooms, one double bed, one twin and one single. The twin bedroom has an ensuite shower room, whilst the other bedrooms share a shower room between them. Behind the cottage is a fully equipped laundry room.
Along the front of the house there is a large terrace perfect for Al fresco dining or sitting and relaxing with a glass of Rosado soaking up the Andalucian sun.
At the shallow end of the swimming pool (can be heated) there is a large sunbathing terrace with sun beds. At the deep end of the pool (3 meters deep) there is an Arabic pagoda, dining area , also a built in barbecue area is situated next to the pagoda.
The villa is situated down a 2km track suitable for hired cars. The local white village of Casares with it’s charming way of life that hasn’t changed in decades, is only a ten minute drive. Walk up to the remains of the Moorish castle and watch the Griffon vultures soar overhead.
The coast and all it has to offer is only a 15 minute drive, and Malaga an hour’s drive away. There are a selection of excellent restaurants all within a 20 minute drive, ranging from rustic Spanish, to Japanese/ international cuisine.
The swimming pool can be heated if your visiting outside of the main summer season. Heating is on request and charged at £30 per day. We recommend that you request its heating for 2 days in advance of your holiday to bring it to a comfortable temperature ready for your arrival.
Change over is normally Saturday to Saturday.
