La Gratitude is a very spacious, 3 bedroom Andalucia villa designed by the award winning architect Aubrey Davids set in the tranquil valley of Acedia between Casares and the Mediterranean.
As you enter the house you are greeted with a beautiful mosiac of Casares and can feel the rustic charm of the villa.
The large living room has a large fire place (gas) with comfortable sitting area and high timbered ceilings. Satellite TV is provided with DVD and a hifi system and Wifi.
The kitchen has all the modern comforts including washing machine, dishwasher. The kitchen leads into the inside dining area which then leads into a glassed conservatory/dining room with beautiful panoramic views.
There is another smaller reading room, with tv and french doors that open up to a terrace overlooking the glorious gardens. The master double bedroom is full of character with it's four poster bed and bright sunny walls. The other double bedroom leads out to the pool area and the third bedroom has two singles. All bedrooms have their own bathrooms.
Steps lead down from the conservatory living room to the pool area. The beautiful mature, landscaped, gardens surround the pool ( 10x5m with small shallow end) giving it privacy to relax and soak up the sun. There are extensive open grassed lawns, perfect for children to run around or simply take out a garden chair and read a book with a glass of chilled rose.
The owners are in the process of building an outdoor barbeque close to the pool area. There is another glassed conservatory next to the pool for relaxing, with sliding doors.
The stunning views look up to the mountains and across the valley. La Gratitude is reached by a gravel 3 km track suitable for normal rental cars. The picturesque white village of Casares is only a 15 minute drive, discover the old Moorish Castle and sample the local tapas. The coast is only a 15 minute drive with beach chringuitos (fish restaurants) and Marbella and all it has to offer a 45 minute drive. Malaga airport is an hours drive or Gibralter 45 minutes away.
There are some superb local restaurants close by Arroyo Hondo an English/Japanese couple serving European cuisine with and Asian twist. Venta Victoria, a lovely Spanish restaurant run by local family and highly recommended Venta Garcia once again Spanish/European cuisine.
