El Nido is part of a beautiful country estate designed by an award winning architect Aubrey David in La Acedia valley, around 10km inland from the Costa del Sol, and less than 5km from Casares village.
El Nido is a lovely rustic villa situated on top of a small hill, surrounded by ancient oak trees and over looking the lovely valley below. The Finca was inspired by the traditional 'Estilo Andaluz' with wooden beams, terracotta tiles and white painted walls. The villa captures the feeling of rural Andalucian life, but also includes the modern comforts of air conditioning and Wireless access.
This charming villa is completely secluded and benefits from the cool shade of mature oak trees in the hot summers, as well having its own spring-fed filtered swimming pool (8m x 4m)
Built on two levels, main living room, a second lounge/TV room, master bedroom suite and kitchen diner are on the higher floor. The main living room has a very stylish chimney, with high wooden beamed ceiling. It opens out to the terrace with it's wonderful views. To one side is the rustic but homely kitchen equipped with all mod cons for a relaxed holiday. The antique wooden dining table will comfortably seat eight. Doors open through to a covered dining terrace with views of the rolling hillside.
At the far end of the house is a beautiful master bedroom suite. It is almost two bedrooms in one, with its half open-plan design a double bedroom on the galley floor.
The other two bedrooms (1 double and 1 twin) also ensuite are on the lower floor. Alongside is another large room, once a children's playroom and now provides an extra bedroom. there are books, a writing desk, a sofa and two single beds.
Please note being on a hillside there are some steep banks and drops on the land in places. Although reasonably protected by shrubs and trees due care should be taken with young children. The outdoor campo cats may not suit anyone with cat allergies.
The beautiful white village of Casares is only a 10 minute drive away with the all its local Andalucian village charm, and its Friday market. The Costa del Sol with everything it has to offer - beaches, nightlife, and restaurants - is only a 15 minute drive away, and the stunning white beaches of Tarifa and the Atlantic coast only an hours drive away.
If you're looking for a relaxing family orientated Andalucia Holiday Villa for a few weeks, then you won't find many nicer than Casa Nido.
